Middle America Region

Our long standing ministry to Guatemala has included everything from construction to meeting medical and dental needs, and more recently prayer walking and door to door evangelism and literature distribution in support of Operation GO (Gospel Outreach).

This ministry is still in the development stage and already has a number of opportunities – ministry to an un-reached people group, to a city in southern Mexico, and to a Hispanic community right here in Columbus! Watch the lobby Mission Display for new developments.
Eastern Europe

This is by far the largest and most extensive foreign outreach of Edgewood Baptist Church, featuring annual teams of thirty to forty members who travel to support and encourage our sister church, First Baptist Church of Bistrita, Romania.
First Baptist Bistrita has already planted over thirty mission churches in the surrounding areas and our teams visit many of them to sing, teach, share testimonies and encourage believers. We’ve also sung in public concerts to draw townspeople to hear the gospel and visited local orphanages to share the love of Christ.
In addition, medical and dental personnel from Edgewood have been given permission to work alongside Romanian medical workers to assist and provide much needed training.

Zimbabwe

Dr. Beaty is a Columbus ophthalmologist, and as the son of former missionaries to Zimbabwe he’s come naturally to a love of this land and its people. He’ll return to Zimbabwe annually to conduct eye clinics and will be accompanied by members of Edgewood Baptist and other Columbus Baptist Association churches.
These teams will assist and work alongside local pastors to evangelize and plant churches wherever they go.
