ChildrenSummer of Wonders!Our weekly summer activities are scheduled every Thursday from 10am-2pm. Reservations are requested by noon on Tues so that we can secure the necessary transportation [Ages: children completing K5-5th grade; Cost: $3-15 depending on the activity]. The schedule for June-July 2011 is as follows:

In order to ensure a safe environment for our children all employees and volunteers involved in preschool and/or children’s ministry have consented to and passed a criminal background check.
Childcare is regularly provided during the Sunday morning worship hour (infants-4 yrs), Sunday evening home fellowships (infants-2 yrs), and any women’s weekday/night Bible studies (infants-4 yrs). Upon sign-in on Sunday mornings, preschool parents will be provided with a silent pager so that we may contact you if needed.
Wellness PolicyOn the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics we ask that parents and guardians help us prevent the spread of illness by keeping their child at home if (s)he exhibits any of the following symptoms: runny nose with colored discharge, vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hrs, fever within the last 24 hrs, any skin or eye infection, inflamed throat, any evidence of communicable childhood illness/disease (chicken pox, mumps, etc.).
Weekly Schedule
Sunday SchoolWe have a wonderful staff of dedicated and caring teachers each Sunday morning during the Sunday school hour. All children (infants-5th grade) are received and picked up in our children’s wing located directly beneath the sanctuary. Parents and guardians may continue to an adult Bible study of their own located in Fellowship Hall one floor below.
Kidz Praize Zone [K5-3rd]KPZ is our fun-filled and God-centered children’s church for K5-3rd grade kids. Weekly lessons use skits, puppets, and upbeat music as a means to bring the Bible to life so that God’s character & work can be better understood.
AWANA [3yrs-6th grade; 7th-8th boys]A worldwide ministry program, AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) helps churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love, and serve Christ. Emphasizing the importance of Scripture memorization, AWANA evangelizes and disciples the next generation through healthy mentor and peer relationships as well as dynamic fun for children, teens, and adults alike. Children’s ChoirChildrens Choir is held on Wed from 6-7pm. We have two choris, younger children: age 4 - 1st grade older children: grades 2-5
Mother’s Morning Out [Thursday, 10am-2pm]As a practical way for us to serve our busy moms, we offer low-cost childcare for Edgewood members and regular church attendees. For more information contact Linda Hendrick @ 706-561-7954 x240.
Seasonal CalendarUpward Basketball [Winter: Jan-Mar] Upward is a fun, reliable, passionate and encouraging sports experience for boys and girls (1st-6th grade). Upward aims to bring out “the winner” in every child – regardless of the game’s score. Registration and player evaluation occurs in December and the season runs Jan-Mar.
